Weekly Curbside Pickup

Your trash collection service includes a weekly collection of a set number of bags listed at sign up and on your invoice. Thirteen or Fifteen gallon bags are regarded as the same size and should not exceed a weight of ten pounds per bag. Thirty gallon bags should not exceed a weight of twenty pounds per bag. Contractors bags should not exceed a weight of thirty pounds per bag. Excessive bag weight will result in a fee if collected or possibly non collection if too heavy. Reference Curbside page of website under Extra Trash section for current pricing. Bags must be placed at the curb or within a meter(3 feet) of your municipal road unobstructed from vehicles or any other objects. Bags may be placed within a trash bin of your choosing or provided by Beacon Waste Services, LLC. Bags must only contain Municipal Solid Waste or Recycling. Any other materials such as Construction Debris may incur extra fees or may not be taken. A list of prohibited materials can be found under the Prohibited Materials section of these Terms and Conditions. Beacon Waste Services, LLC specifically services municipal roads. Any non-municipal roads, dirt roads, or if your mailbox is at a separate location than your house or driveway may not be eligible for this service or may require an additional fee. Any purchased or rented trash bins may take up to two weeks to be delivered.

Recycling

We will take up to four kitchen size trash bags (13/15 gallon size) of recycling per week for free with the regular or large curbside plan. We ask for your recycling to be bagged, single stream (different materials can be in the same bag), and be near your regular trash. All cardboard must be broken down and bound together and not exceed 3 feet in length, width, or height. We equate about 1 cubic foot of cardboard to be equal to one 13gal bag of recycling.

Extra Trash

For extra bags beyond your plan they will be charged to your account based on weight and size at our current rates posted on the curbside page of our website. You must notify us ahead of time for any excess trash beyond your designated plan to guarantee pick up. Cost of anything else not listed on the website is based on weight and size and may not be taken if not contacted prior to pick up. We do not take paper bags and all bags must be tied or taped closed.

Drive-Down Service

In order to receive this service you must pay the extra cost listed on the website and opt in for it at sign up or in your Account settings. Your driveway must be large enough to accommodate Beacon Waste Services, LLC's vehicles including both horizontal and vertical clearance. If your rented container becomes too dirty and is not returned to Beacon Waste Services, LLC in the original state it was given to you, either you will be charged the purchase price of the bin, or a cleaning fee will be charged to your Account as determined by Beacon Waste Services, LLC. A $50 retrieval fee will be charged upon cancellation of services.

Proration

When you sign up for service your first invoice will be adjusted based on the amount of weeks you will receive service. The Weekly Rate will be calculated based on the Quarterly Rate taking into account there are 13 weeks in a quarter. The Quarterly Rate = Monthly Rate x 3. Weekly Rate = Quarterly Rate / 13. The algorithm used to calculate the prorated amount for quarterly billing is as follows: Prorated Amount = Weekly Rate x Weeks remaining in the Quarter. The algorithm used to calculate the prorated amount for monthly billing is as follows: Prorated Amount = Weekly Rate x Weeks remaining in the Quarter – Months remaining in Quarter x Monthly Rate.

The algorithm used to calculate the prorated amount for quarterly billing is as follows: Prorated Amount = Weekly Rate x Weeks service was received in the Quarter. The algorithm used to calculate the prorated amount for monthly billing is as follows: Prorated Amount = Weekly Rate x Weeks service was received in the Quarter – Months already paid for x Monthly Rate.

Rolloff Dumpsters

Dumpsters come with a fill line in or on them. Going over the line can, at a minimum, cause you to incur charges. In some areas, it is illegal to transport dumpsters that are filled beyond the prescribed line. If you are overfilled or your filling prevents any required tarping before a pickup, you may be expected to empty a portion of your dumpster and/or incur additional charges. If you are noticing your dumpster is filling faster or more than expected, please Contact Us to schedule an early pickup or replacement dumpster. Prohibited materials for your dumpster are listed under the Prohibited Materials section of the Terms and Conditions. Any necessary City or Neighborhood Permits are your responsibility to acquire ahead of time and are not the responsibility of Beacon Waste Services, LLC. The recommended safety guidelines are listed in the Terms and Conditions under Safety Guidelines. Beacon Waste Services, LLC will not take responsibility nor liability for any injury incurred by you when loading, unloading or doing anything in or near the dumpster. Beacon Waste Services, LLC will not take responsibility nor liability for any damages incurred by our vehicles including but not limited to liquids leaked from our vehicles or lawn damage. Any damage done to the rolloff dumpster will be your responsibility, and you will be liable for cost of said damages including but not limited to cost of repairs or replacement. Any issue or delay with pickup or delivery of a rolloff dumpster may incur additional charges. Extra tonnage is charged by the quarter ton at a rate of $50 per quarter ton over 1.5 tons. Tonnage is rounded up to the nearest quarter ton. For example, 1.6 tons would be rounded to 1.75 tons, and therefore you would be charged $50 for an extra 0.25 tons. Extra days are charged at a rate of $20 per extra day over 7 days. Reduced rates for longer durations may apply, but must be discussed with Beacon Waste Services, LLC ahead of time.
